Overview

Lifeclinic is one of the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of automated blood pressure monitors and health testing stations. Participating in the new wave of technology that allows users to discover, review and store their health information, Lifeclinic was requesting a Healthcare IT-driven solution to help their user’s store their personal information. These “health stations” which would allow their users perform various biometric tests and store their information for reference.

Challenge

LifeClinic’s proprietary legacy applications were an obstacle towards providing their users with a seamless experience. In need of an easy-to-use interface and a place to store user data, they sought assistance on creating a consumer-friendly product.

Solution

Get Real Consulting developed an application that integrated LifeClinic’s website with Microsoft HealthVault thereby allowing the user to store their biometric information within a Microsoft HealthVault account. Users can electronically save their data for the creation of a Personal Health Record (PHR) and for tracking and charting with the use of various tools made available at Lifeclinic.com and Microsoft’s HealthVault.

Benefits

This solution allows LifeClinic’s users to store their information in a secure location that is also portable, allowing the user to share their periodic biometric information with their physician. By utilizing Microsoft HealthVault within the solution, LifeClinic was able to leverage the utilization of a personal record database for its user without significant development costs.
